Rube--the votors got what they deserved? No the non voters got what they deserved. It appears to me the non-insiders got what they wanted, the outsiders who voted didn't get anything and certainly nothing they deserved.

Your analysis of the vote was pretty spiffy, but I conclude:
It is probable that Budd, Gubnitz and Rae had virtually zero outsiders voting for them. Berent only got 1 million votes. The share increase got no votes from outsiders. Auditors even had insiders voting against them. Bastien got the highest outsider vote yet is was only around 9% of outside shareholders.
