December 24, 2013 - Last day for Canadian tax loss selling
December 26, 2013 - Last day for US tax loss selling

If you're planning to or if you if you already sold, you have to wait 30 days to buy back the equity that you sold or your cap loss could be denied. Also, you must sell all your shares, including shares in your registered accounts to be able to claim the loss in your non registered account.
