Why does that bother you?  It doesn't bother me one bit. 
Check out psychologist Abraham Maslow's 'Hierachy of Needs' for some light, interesting reading(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow's_hierarchy_of_needs).  Always provides insight to what motivates us all!
