RE:Surprised by the support for Thomas Budd
RE:Surprised by the support for Thomas BuddIt seems to me that Thomas Budd and friends are just are little too smug with themselves and some of their accusations in the latest information circular are over the top and deserve a response from someone who does know a little bit about Thomas's background and his friends or professional relationships...
On page two of the most recent circular, the heading is "FrontFour's proposed nominees show how hypocritical they are". It then goes on to describe the various relationships that these nominees have with each other. Well after reading it, it seems benign to me...
Moving on to Thomas Budd, he used to run GMP Capital for 13 years. He worked with a Sandy L. Edmonstone and they both left the firm in 2008. According to a G&M article dated May 15, 2009, "Mr. Edmonstone and Tom Budd were among the most effective deal makers for small to mid-cap oil and gas companies" So, what did become of Sandy Edmonstone, well he is presently Executive Director and Deputy Head of Global Oil and Gas for Macquarie Group.
But what most people don't realize is that before he jumped to Macquarie Group, he was head of National Bank Financial's global energy investment team out of Calgary. They are the one's who sprung Poseidon Concepts onto the unsuspecting and trusting investing public. In conjuction with the lawsuits and investigations presently going on, a Mediation Order has been hammered together and if you look closely at the actual Mediation Order under the heading Search Terms, Sandy Edmonstone name appears as #63...
Thomas, it looks like the old adage applies here, those who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw rocks. For full disclosure purposes, I voted for the Green Team.
