He was an Irish-Canadian born and raised in Toronto. For he and his children, you could cheer for anyone but the Leafs. Strange given the fact that the Leafs were bought by Conn Smythe from the Toronto St. Patricks. My team was and always has been Les Canadiens. I'm going way back. I also played 3rd Division hockey for a tiny village in Switzerland in 1980. Last summer in Canada's greatest city Montreal, my wife and I worked out at the fitness centre Energie Cardio in the ole Forum de Montreal. L'accueil était extrêmement chaleureux.
