Qualcomm

QualcommHopefully some of Qualcomm's financial fortunes are rolling down to ICS.

Qualcomm (QCOM) shares rose nearly 4% Tuesday after the smartphone components makers announced a 20% increase in its quarterly dividend and authorized an additional $5 billion for stock buybacks.

QCOM boosted its dividend by $0.07 to $0.42 per share, payable March 26.

The added money for share repurchases lifts the company's total to around $7.8 billion. Since the start of the current fiscal year last October, QCOM has bought back around 27.6 million shares for a combined $2 billion. The current buyback authorization has no expiration date.
