RE:Anyone have an update on Columbus Copper
For me at least, every year there seems to be one or two stocks that make you look like a genius, ten to twenty that just kind of tread water and one or two like CCU that makes you shake your head and mutter W_T_F ???
We are quickly approaching upon the one year anniversary of this company announcing that continuous trenching had return 3.3 g/t Au over 54 metres made all the more exciting that this result and the presence of a huge gold anomaly in this area appears to never have been knownbefore they set foot on the property in 2012.
So I sit here in complete bewilderment wondering why the company has done absolutely nothing since to promote itself on the strength of this discovery. First, I would contend that they gave away far too much of this property for far too little and second, they farm this property out to a private company (S2M2) which arguably has little to no incentive to report on progress being made.
But thankfully, this private company was taken over by another publicly-listed company, Zenith Minerals, and we now seem to be getting a bit more back on track. Zenith seems to make no bones about their excitement toward this property and these latest results of geophysics did nothing to dampen my spirits.
But that brings me to a third point. Where is CCU in response to this? Where is their "We are pleased to announce our Joint Venture partner has..." But so far, nothing on this side of the pond. As a result, we get the two or three cent stock we deserve (and I say "WE" very loosely). What's most frustrating is that it seems any small effort and we could possibly parlay this excellent potential into a 10 or even 20 cent stock. But that's not going to happen unless someone at the company begins to show that they are at least trying.
So could we please have a news release updating shareholders on progress being made? There's something terribly wrong when one has to turn to these bullboards as their only source of news. Actually, it's quite embarrassing!
