think of it: if distribution were zero, and not fifty cents like right now per year, the stock ought to be fifty cents higher a year later as this cash is now with the firm

a strategic review makes sense due to turmoil over the last year.

strategic review is commonly used for " we are thinking of selling the company because we think our stock price is too low". Indeed another REIT may buy them. If that impacts the stock price remains to be seen.
