JUnit290:

Thanks for volunteering to take a look at activity on Pad 2. The Jacos site is alot closer to Calgary and I'd rather not take my chances on Hwy 63 too often. A weekly or even biweekly checkup should be just fine. There was no security gate from the air and I didn't see any no-trespassing signs. It's fair game in terms of what we can see from the road. Unfortunately, my black BMW is going to stick out like a store thumb. A pickup with a modest amount of dirt shouldn't draw too much attention. Any ground activity should be kept very quiet so STP keeps site access wide open. We kept the helicopter away from the site on purpose. Notice in the pictures nobody onsite even looks at the helicopter.

I'm curious to see if that rig moves onto another well.

The Bell 206 JetRanger cost me $1,246.58 from Highland Helicopters - money very well spent. I was wondering what to do with my $3000 STP.DB payment due at the end of June. We spent about 1 hour and toured STP McKay, Syncrude and Suncor Millennium. Wow, those tailing ponds are quite a sight. I've uploaded the best photos to the hotmail account.

Adamsight: here's a James Bond task for you.

We can get an idea of what they're up to by counting up the number of pipes/ICDs that are currently staged. It should be possible to get an accurate count using 20141481_DxO.jpg. It will be a little more difficult getting a count on the three   upper left racks in image [Group 1]-20141472_DxO_20141473_DxO-2 images.jpg - these don't appear to be stacked.

Do these pipes/ICD's come in a standard length? A few phone calls should get that answer. From that we can work out the total length of the installation. Is the length exactly the well length of 2P5? If it is double, they may swap out ICD's for the trial or move onto another well. Further ground based monitoring is required.

tp0052 - Excellent work on the tanker truck analysis. An imagery analyst is usually not an expert in the subject under surviellance. For that, industry experts are called in to interpret what is going on in the imagery.

If this is an ICD installation, how would a normal workover on a slotted liner look from the air? Would the piping also appear so clean?

Also, does anyone with rig expertise disagree that this is an ICD installation?

...and one final note in diversification from tp0052's June 2nd post.

"U see I was a novice investor. STP was my first stock experience. I felt invincible and imagined the riches in my future. Shortly there after, I watched in horror, as all but a little bit of my initial investment disappeared. I spent many sleepless nights wondering how I would regain the money that I had lost. I could not think straight. I laugh about it now, 6 months later but it was not an easy time in my financial life. Least of all it was not funny to me!"

So an undiversified portfolio is like me speeding down Hwy 63 at 160km/h - it's an accident waiting to happen. We might get away from trouble this time....but eventually our luck will run out. I've been in tp0052's shoes, and that stock was Nortel Networks. I was 21 and lost $17,000 of my internship money. Poof!
