RE:RE:RE:This is what Lakeshore is looking for with 5 million drillGeoffs13 as LSG fine tunes the preliminary development drill the grades changed and were published a little lower. Good geologists will be extremly conservative with the assays and ore outlines. They must be able to defend the published tons and grades. Adding more dilution is a good tool because often some cave rock will enter the system. No one can accurratley say how much rock will enter the system. A good estimate is used. If the mining system being used has all the grade controls in place often the grades can be improved. The grade control tools include having well detailed ore outlines. In this case closer spaced holes. Keeping the mining block to a managable size. Making sure enough properly spaced blasting holes are drilled and there collars and toes are accuratley plotted. Sequencing the mining blocks to prevent rock bursts. Making sure cavity surveys are done to be sure all the ore is mined. Scooping every last bucket of ore out of the mining block. Filling the mining block quickly to prevent ore and rock from falling off the walls. Things like this and dozens more techniques are used and can often improve the actual mined grade. Hope that helps a bit.
