For potash, there are several large producers who currently have dominance over the market. Potash is produced primarily in Canada, Russia, the United States and in South America, though other regions have their own reserves. Since food security is a long term issue, investing in exploration and development companies is an option that will ensure the continued production of potash. In the US, investors can look to companies like Potash Ridge Corporation (OTCQX:POTRF, TSX:PRK), IC Potash Corp. (TSX:ICP, OTCQX:ICPTF), among others.
