A Hollow Victory ReduxThe posts here have gotten completely juvenile. There were no winners in this litigation. Teuton lost the case. AMK won a hollow victory. Figure it out. A bunch of broke shareholders; minimal cash on hand I'm sure; yes, properties which I'm sure might be valuable but when? In the meantime, expenses continue. The litigation continues. A monument to the futility of litigation between two undercapitalized entities.
Am I blaming AMK for pursuing their claim? Absolutely not. Am I blaming Teuton? No. But somewhere DURING that period of litigation, cooler heads failed to prevail and failed the shareholders of both companies in my opinion by not settling the case. I don't know who, if anyone, was responsible. I thought it would be settled before, during or even after trial. Boy, was I wrong.
Nihilism won out and now we have the spectacle of name calling and bickering by broke shareholders arguing pointlessly with each other on a public bulletin board as if this means anything at all. It means nothing; people love to see their drivel in writing on their computers; nobody cares about their bottom lines, it seems.
I, for one, would have liked to see some cash salvaged. It's a shame and I don't know or care who is to blame at this point; all I know is I've lost a ton of money and I'm moving on to better things. I still have a position in TUO and hope some day their properties will flourish. It can happen. AMK has its piece of paper as per the decision of the court. If they get a cash award, the courts will be reasonable and allow Teuton time to pay it off. I don't see the bonanza that AMK shareholders seem to be so joyously celebrating. It's all so tragic and pathetic for both groups of shareholders; many of whom just don't seem to "get it."
