Investing in Canada is NOT the same as Myanmar

Investing in Canada is NOT the same as Myanmar
I am very familiar with the difficulties surrounding investments in Myanmar. Investments are still somewhat dicey and are not truly exempt from the military  deciding to not honour a contractual agreement. Yes the country is moving forward but it has a long way to go before investments are safe. I believe the election, the world was watching for, was cancelled last week.

Investing in Canada is whole different ballgame. If I was a Korean official I doubt I would feel safe with investing huge sums of cash into a country that has 80% of the people without hydro and run by a violent military power.

Quote from ABC news-"Myanmar's Union Election Commission said Sunday that it was canceling by-elections planned for later this year to fill 35 empty parliamentary seats.

Commission chairman Tin Aye made the surprise announcement at a media briefing in Yangon."
