RE:RE:RE:RE:RE: reminder of the near future Honestly Tony, your last statement is what I believe in most strongly. Eritrea has a fledgling mining industry and to tarnish it by screwing us over (while certainly not impossible), is likely not their desired course of action. Doesnt mean I like them being in control but its comforting to me anyway.
I still question what Hopley and Davis are doing chasing staged production if it flat out wont fly. Spend the money on fuel and go for takeout to China like Park used to say. Or take the NSU crew to the strippers...expense the lap dances....and get the job done!!!
I have ALWAYS felt modestly comfortable owning SGC because of NSU in the background. I have always thought it would eventually be swallowed by the Chinese but NSU would be there to keep them "honest" in their bid. Nevsun can tell the investment community and its shareholders all it wants but its still a PROFIT DRIVEN company. No way would they let SGC get taken by someone else at 10 cents on the dollar when they are best positioned to fast track this and spin huge cash under an agreement with Enamco that almost identical to what they already have. This "theory" however is contingent on fact that multiple bidders exist. Assuming SGC chased the chinese away, there is nothing to say NSU wont be the one acting predatory. Typically I read more into what the share price is telling me but can you really in this market? Their isnt any definitive trend on volume, just a drift lower as the TSX V as a whole unravels. Look at ADV where grandich claims mgmt is the industry caddilac. Hows that stock doing? Granted, grandich's claims of "good mgmt" are 100% aligned with his paycheck but i will save my grandich rant cause it proves nothing.
Im staying long because I TRULY believe this will be one of the next major mines to go into production and our market cap considering we own 60% of it is a joke BUT there is plenty of ways this doesnt turn out as rosey as we had hoped - unless some know more than I can see.
