RE:nice article on AQN..."Top pick in sector" Globe and Mail Friday, December 12, 2014, 09:51:54 Friday's analyst upgrades and downgrades Inside the Market’s roundup of some of today’s key analyst actions. This file will be updated during the trading day. ====== Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. looks set for a strong 2015 and remains a “top pick” for Desjardins Securities analyst Bill Cabel. Mr. Cabel noted that Algonquin recently raised gross proceeds of $133-million through a public offering of $100-million in common shares and a $33-million private placement of subscription receipts to Emera Inc. “AQN remains our Top Pick in the sector and the financing keeps AQN well positioned as it continues to drive strong growth,” he says. “We reiterate our view that AQN has substantial tangible growth on both the utility and power sides of the business, which should enable continued dividend growth over the next several years and drive sector-leading returns.” He also expects a continuation of M&A activities to provide further catalysts and valuation upside. Mr. Cabel maintains a $10.50 (Canadian) target price on the stock. The analyst consensus price target is $9.97. ======
