Surge Energy Inc. is a Canada-based oil focused exploration and production (E&P) company. The Company's business consists of the exploration, development and production of oil and gas from properties in Western Canada. It holds focused and operated light and medium gravity crude oil properties in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, characterized by large oil in place crude oil reservoirs with low recovery factors. It offers exposure to two of the five conventional oil growth plays in Canada: the Sparky and SE Saskatchewan. It holds a dominant land position and is drilling a mix of horizontal multi-frac and horizontal multi-lateral wells in the Sparky area. Sparky is a large, well established oil producing fairway in Western Canada. SE Saskatchewan is a focused operated asset base with light oil operating netbacks. SE Saskatchewan operates low-cost wells with short payouts and offers potential for continued area consolidation.

RE:RE:Heres how BNN scum avoid thier history flopsIn reference to the comments about BNN and the hosts, all I can say is that Hainsworth is an idiot.  He's all show for the camera, trying to sound like a funny goof in a bowtie, but the reality is that he's just a stupid goof.

As a host of a business show, I would expect more knowledgeable and insightful commentary, but none of this comes from Hainsworth.  I still remember a few years back when Petronas was hinting about taking over Progress, and the stock was gyrating up and down over whether or not the government would allow a takeover.  Rob Lauzon was Hainsworth's guest, and after a viewer called in about Progress. Hainsworth looks at the chart and comments about the stock's volatility, and, in a confused fashion, asks Lauzon if he can offer any comment about why the stock is so volatile... and, as the camera zooms in on Lauzon's face, all I can notice is a look that suggests his thinking "are you serious??"  I always thought Hainsworth was a goof and that pretty much sealed it, but for yet one other event.

I live in Toronto, and I'm out on the Danforth at a restaurant with friends, when who should drop in, but none other than Michael Hainsworth with his wife, young kids and another family in tow.  Upon being seated, Michael acted like a snotty brat with the staff... not impressive!   Also, he has quite the bald spot going on in the back of his head... so the make-up artists at BNN must use couvre to cover the top of his head, or special lighting to hide the glare.

BNN's Market Call is a good place to get ideas about different stocks, but one can find a recap on stockchase.com, without wasting the time to watch the show.

There's a few BNN guests that I will watch, like Burroughs, Donville... and a few others whose track record is commendable.  In fact, I got a kick out of Donville's recent guest spot... a few subtle put downs on some of Hainsworth's dorky comments.  Right on, Donville!
