Not to worry, first the Nigerian economy will be strategically pulverized on several fronts, unemployment will explode creating a situation wherein once proud family heads will not be able to feed or shelter their families. Then when all hope is lost for the common folk but just slightly before total civil unrest the Nigerian government will get into bed with the IMF who as condition to making available their bailout funds will require the privatization of all resources, telecom and infrastructure.  The west will take all of it for pennies on the dollar, just as MW is doing with MMT and the game will begin anew except under the new IMF rules the common folk will still have nothing and the west will grow and prosper. Hence the creation of new anti west extreme ideologies. This very same play is happening right here in Canada but because the US has needed our resources the plight of the common is not so pronounced but it is deepening at an increasing rate. For those who think government has no place protecting our businesses, water and environment from foreign takeover or  that governments are wasteful and inefficient all you have to do is look at the last multi trillion dollar meltdown and factor that into the efficiencies of private unbridled corporatism. Proponents of global trade and barrier free economies conveniently forget that the biggest meltdown in history was caused not by governments but rather by their own hand.  Having said all this I’ll be buying when MMT bottoms.
