RE:RE:RE:TFSA - the final word from CRAThey made the proposed change effective for the 2015 tax year.  How do you interpret this as contempt for Parliament?  If the budget is voted down, the government will fall, and I presume you will be a happy man.  If a new party forms government and abolishes the increase, adjustments will have to be made to effected accounts, without penalty to the taxpayer.

I can see the maneuver as blatant political maneuvering, but guess what?  It's an election year. While in power, the governing party does hold the hammer.

By the way, I'm a supporter of the Harper government in general, but I do believe the longer they're in power, the more they begin to resemble the Chretien Liberals.  Scary indeed!
