The investment seeks to track the investment results (before fees and expenses) of the NASDAQ OMX US Water IndexSM (the underlying index). The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its total assets in the securities that comprise the underlying index. The underlying index seeks to track the performance of companies that create products designed to conserve and purify water for homes, businesses and industries. The underlying index may include common stocks, ordinary shares, American depositary receipts (ADRs), shares of beneficial interest and tracking stocks. The fund is non-diversified.

No, because both sides of this conversation quoted extensively from footnote 9.   You are the one acting from a position of ignorance because you clearly did not read the entire conversation.

Stirring the pot - AFTER reading footnote 9 in the 2014 financials - seems extremely appropriate.   There is a $1.2m royalty to a related party entity when the entire earnings is only $5M.   It's not clear how the investors in Photon R&D make money, and it's not clear what amounts they make.  It's not clear why Photon R&D needs to continue to exist, nor is it clear how shareholders benefit.

Furthermore, footnote 9 does not answer a single material question about who profits, how much, and why shareholders need this entity.
