RE:Now this is just a guess but--Excellent Bet/Guess (IMHO)....Funny the naysayers never mentioned this possibility as they re-worked their strategy of sowing the seeds of doubt in the weak hands? Or to them facts are irrevelant? Or were they too busy bashing to cover a recent addition to the > 1 mln shorts of FCU & NXE? I believe that the bash & buyers are targeting those "late comers" who bot after the release of the maiden NI 43-101 compliant 105 Mln lbs Ore Reserve. Who hacked into the Canada NRC? But I rant & digress.

While the Paladin decision is (like R600W), a game changer, we cannot discount the PROVEN experience of Rio Tinto. Paladin & Rio Tinto have Aussie roots in common which should get them past the FIRA. However wrt FCU @ PLS, in getting past the CNSC Rio Tinto will definately get high marks for their Diavik Operations.

Diavik - Relavance to Hathor & Triple R

The construction of open pit and underground mining operations and related infrastructure are engineering feats on a grand scale. Open-pit mine construction included the building of rockfill dikes to hold the frigid waters of Lac de Gras at bay. Not only did the extremely harsh climatic conditions present significant construction challenges, but nothing was allowed to blemish the pristine waters of the lake during its building.

A recent post also cited reciprocal advantages for canadian miners and (benign) strategic risk for U as an exported commodity.
