RE:RE:To meetballs and all others: here is my position
Air Canada went belly up because they didn`t even have enough money to pay there over seas fuel bills in a bad economic downturn . It was run by an American who still managed to keep his job and line his pockets big time in the restructuring .The fox was in charge of the hen house . Interesting that at the time West Jet was in big trouble but managed to pay off all it`s bills and come back big time . Air Canada , with the help of the Canadian government , stiffed all it`s creditors and started back up with a clean slate . You are comparing apples and oranges . There simply is no comparison between the former Air Canada and Bombardier . If it wasn`t for the EXPECTED development costs and should be EXPECTED development time of the C-Series , Bombardier would be a nicely profitable company . And it will be again .
