Bought my first EVER stock today! VID!

Bought my first EVER stock today! VID!Never direct invested before. Close friend of mine who follows the markets (to crazy levels) suggested two speculative stocks.  One short term, the other long term.

I only want to risk a bit (wife would kill me if I risked a lot!) so I decided to pick this one to start.  Why?

It's "in the dumps" (something about bad financing?) He tried to explain it but after a few beers I was not too interested!  He's buying, that good enough for me!

All I want to see if whether he's right. At 8 cents a stock, not much to lose!

Here are my notes:
Small company: "Less than 4 million"
Good sales: "Almost half a million".
Growth: "*Almost* profitable" He says big things happen when companies become profitable and that makes sense to me.  But buying into unprofitable company does not! hahaha

He's saying "short term" on SoMedia but I think he is wrong. Time will tell.  If this doubles, I'll take half of my profits and pick his long term choice.

Good luck all.  I don't understand half of the discussions on these board but he's told me enough about the dangers of trusting anyone on these  boards.
