RE:RE:RE:New Video about Scarpa
RE:RE:RE:New Video about ScarpaIt looks like a 6 week study and there didn't look to be much disease in the corpus collosum in either treatment or control group. Discarding that region and looking at the other brain regions in the graphs about half the disease still remained with Tanscendpep. We would need a longer study to further examine results over time. What does this mean for brain tumors in these regions, etc.? Can Transcend distribute effect equally across all regions of the brain given the brains complexity and a human brain is much, much more complex. Ideally I was hoping for a more overwhelming result in such a simple model as the mouse and I think BTI was too. It's a start and it will be interesting to see what further dosing experiments can do although this can take time given how long this study took. It would be nice to see an intrathecal control group too if that is the emerging competition.
~Comparing the human and mouse brain reveals why mapping the mouse brain is easier.
| Human | Mouse |
Mass of brain | 1,500 grams | 0.5 grams |
Number of brain neurons | 86 billion | 70 million |
