(Reuters) - Foreign investors purchased C$8.51 billion ($6.47 billion) in Canadian securities in June following a net sale of C$5.46 billion in May, as foreign investment in the Canadian money market reached a record C$12.04 billion, Statistics Canada said on Monday.
Canadian investors bought C$8.57 billion worth of foreign securities in June following the purchase of C$5.73 billion in May. Over the second quarter, Canadians invested more funds abroad than foreign investors placed in Canada, generating a net outflow of C$4.4 billion from the Canadian economy, the statistics agency said.
