Corporate Profile

Freedom Bionics Ltd. (trading as Yaletown Capital (TSX-V: YCC) pending name change)

Freedom Bionics is developing a suite of Smartphone applications using cognitive software networks that can build historical databases for tracking movements, recording conversations and to provide memory assistance and a lifeline to family members and emergency services.

Mission: To augment biological deficiencies using technology to improve quality of life.

What is  Augmented Bionics? The application of technology to improve or replace biologically impaired human capabilities.

Products

Sixth Sense Mobility Software
Freedom's Sixth Sense Mobility Software gathers data from a Smartphone network and builds a database that records location, movements and conversations, ignoring repetitive activities while on alert for abnormal behavior such as a rapid deceleration (car crash or falling to the ground) or a break to patterned activity (senior wandering away from home or a child not in the school grounds at the usual time). The cognitive software rapidly builds a pattern base and can alert a care-giver or emergency services as required.

Emergency Services
Using an accelerometer inside the Smartphone, Freedom's Emergency application can detect rapid acceleration and deceleration (speeding or swerving car, accidental sudden stop) and even the falling down of a senior. The rapid change in the accelerometer reading immediately sends a signal to a family member or to emergency service as required.

Medical Records
An application for care-givers to record medication and medical history with electronic access augments Freedom's other programs to correctly identify the Smartphone users needs, particularly in emergencies.

Cognitive Simplified Smartphone Interface for Google Android
-Senior and child friendly (easy to use)

Freedom's unique Smartphone touch display interface application is tailored to the skill levels of seniors, young children and those who may have various levels of cognitive impairment. The software operates on Google Android operating systems. This product provides a host of other capabilities as add-ons including location management, fall detection and automobile accident detection. People with cognitive impairments or young children can now have access to Smartphone technology without having to deal with the complexity that is typical of current models.

Freedom's new cognitively adaptive user interface for Google Android 2.1 and 2.2 provides an extremely intuitive method for people who might struggle with the current user complexity of the Android Smartphone menus. Users will find it quick to adapt to their cognitive skill levels. Care givers, seniors or those with Mild Cognitive Impairment, early stage Alzheimer's, or Dementia will benefit from having access to a lifeline or a number of other special-purpose services. These services can include cognitive assistance, short-term memory recall, location management, family networking, fall detection, and family member safety.

Seniors are often uncomfortable with normal computer menu systems which tend to be complex. To develop an interface for the Android that makes sense for seniors requires special consideration, as seniors' needs are typically different from other users.

Those with cognitive impairments or Alzheimer's require special methods to make Smartphones useful for them.

Freedom's Smartphone interface is designed to provide various user groups with options suited to their special needs. This includes one-button dialing to caregivers, and simple built-in demonstrations on how to use the touch screens.

Additional features include:
Simplified Menus and Dial by Picture
    Large Fonts
    High Contrast Graphics
    Adaptive User Interface
    Avatar Help Assistance
    Persistent Menu Structure
    Animated Help Sequences
    Intuitive Layout
    Recognizable Icons and Buttons

Children also have special unique requirements. They typically require simple screens to start with but then learn rapidly. As children grow older many will need parental controls on their smart-phones to limit the time use and functionality; such as limited text messaging, phone calls, and internet access. Freedom's artificial intelligence-based program gives parents control over children's access to inappropriate internet services as well as providing them with safety and family emergency related alert features.

Freedom's Cognitively Simplified user interface is the cornerstone for a suite of applications for families and seniors. It gives users access to advanced applications and networks which provide Family Situational Awareness Networking, Cognitive Assistance, and Safety Services.

The base system will be available early in 2011, and the extended services will be available in Q2 of 2011 for Android 2.2.

Revenues

Families will purchase the Smartphone applications for each family member, and pay a monthly subscription based on the number of services required. The Company has been profitable in each of the past three years.
