RE:Scotiabank Reportselect1011 wrote: So, its not unusual that we are all devouring this report and any other crumb of info or insight, given we've heard nothing from the company - which as you all know, I really feel is contributing to SP performance. People are trading in a vacuum. I am long, but I also have my critical eyes on things and so here are my worries about the Scotiabank report. First, the lack of data. In their own words "(iii) there is limited historical financial data, and iv) third-party data to track the underlying growth are difficult to obtain." Second, they say they came away with "feeling" that the management team in place at AMCo has a deep understanding of the market, the business, and the opportunities that are available going forward. Having a "feeling" is a rather weak thing to say. One would have expected that they were "confident", or "confirmed" or "impressed". Finally - I cannot find any reference to whether their target is in US or Can $. I am not a client of ScotiaB, and don't recall their investment banking role if any in CXR financings and rasies, but I don't take much comfort in this report, given the points I have raised. We started the week at $40ish and hear we are at $34. I'd like to add, and doing so for me at much SPs would be fine, and I can wait for them, if they come. These are all my own opinions. I am not short. Good luck all.
Select1011, the article refers to CXRX which is the Nasdaq listing hence it is in USD not CAD. I think you are over-analyzing the language used by the analyst. Look him up, his name is Dr. Alan Ridgeway, smart dude....and I think the fact that he re-iterated his $75 USD target says a lot more than his choice of using the words he did.......further, mgmt. has re-confirmed guidance as per their PR dated Nov. 12 and as recently as last week via McCreath (if you take Andrew McCreath's word for it). We are all obviously alarmed by the precipitous drop in sp but look around at the markets, nothing is trading on fundamentals...only fear...I am very confident that 1 yr. from now, I too will have my Ferrari.....GLTA.
