The Mothership of battery cellsI was very encouraged by the possibility that Daimler was going to build its own batteries, particularly since the obvious supplier of the non toxic battery cells will be Electrovaya.
However what I also realized was that Electrovaya's strategy of becoming a premier battery supplier was now slowly fading and that their long term success will rest with their electrode and separator product lines.
The question that needs to be addressed at this time is how long a window of competitive advantage in these lines does Electrovaya have in order to maintain its leadership position. And what is the market penetration that it can achieve
