The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has awarded Clear Channel Airports an eight-year contract with one two-year option to provide indoor and outdoor display advertising for Washington Dulles International (IAD) and Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA).
“As we began the competitive process for an advertising contractor for our airports, we knew we wanted a company with the experience and expertise to drive advertising at two of the nation’s largest airports and the creativity to help us be on the leading edge of the industry; Clear Channel Airports clearly demonstrated the capability to do so,” says Mike Stewart, vice president for airline business development for MWAA.
Clear Channel’s media program will span 10 digital networks on more than 120 digital devices. It will feature flexible designs that will be integrated into the architecture of each airport.
In IAD, the program will include four digital networks with 75 high-definition digital screens and three large-format digital screens. The DCA program will have six digital networks with 49 high-definition digital screens and three 21-foot digital screens.
