 If you look back at 2009 when oil bottomed and VSN did this same nose dive with  oil the price of oil and those stocks  ran faster than VSN did on the way  back up.  It wasn't until Dec 2010 that VSN recaptured $10 a share,  about 9 months after oil bottomed,  we are just a couple of months out now from that. In 2010 VSN went from $10 to $12.50.  There is a definate lag,  no guarantees in the future but certainly the pipelines are slower to move off the price of oil than the E&P's and of course the TSX based on the heavy weighting energy has.  Book value provides a nice floor in value here.
