There is one thing that has always bothered me and that was the treatment of Dr. Taylor from the very beginning. For a guy that was the Co. guru , the leading light, he never seemed to be treated very well, his stock position wasn't very large, his salary wasn't great and his options always trailed behind others and I thought this was odd.
And his departure was so unceremonious, a few nice words in a press release but little else. No Chairman Emiritus, no nothing. This guy is supposed to be our Andy Grove but they just kicked him to the curb.
It always left me wondering if his technology was as good as it was made out to be or as advanced as we were led to believe and maybe there was some resentment during his tenure and departure.
Not the way very succesful founders lead or leave a Co. and I always thought it was telling.
