RE:RE:Detour MC now 5.2 billion

RE:RE:Detour MC now 5.2 billionA well-presented and persuasive critique, but there's really nothing new here. We all know the difficulties faced in 100% reliably predicting how much gold is hiding in the VoK.

For non-professionals, it's down to people like Strathcona (pre-bulk sample) and angrygeolosist's opinion vs. those of Snowden, Quartermain, Zijin Mining, SSRI, FNV, Rule, etc. People who have not only decades of knowledge and experience but a lot of skin in the game. If the odds are good enough for them, they are good enough for me.

In the comments section, the writer basically dismiss the bulk sample by claiming it was negated by the discovery of (yet another) bonanza grade vein in the process. (Talk about turning good fortune into bad!)

What is your take, VOKBLVR?...Did they just get (incredibly) lucky with Cleopatra? And is that sufficient reason to negate the bulk sample? If so, I would have thought they'd just do another one (or two or three), especially now that permitting is secure.

Heck, if every other truckload of ore panned out like the bulk sample, I don't think anyone would be complaining about nuggets.
