RE: Quiet BoardFirst, don't miss Stockhouse's feature on NUG, linked in the post just before this one.
NUG is better than most at keeping shareholders informed, which I appreciate. Still, there are quiet periods. To get a rough sense of when we may receive news, I looked at last year's drilling announcements, which is only roughly comparable.
Drilling started on March 31, 2015, versus May 19 this year. First results were announced last year on May 7th (37 days), June 11th (72 days), June 23rd (84 days), August 26th (148 days), and Sept. 30th (183 days). Of course it isn't that simple.
But to compare, this year starting May 19th, we might see news around Sat. 6/25; Sat. 7/30; Thu. 8/11; Fri. 10/14; & Fri. 11/18.
I doubt we get any news on Saturdays. But, 37 days is a bit over a month, 72 days is about double that, and 84 days was soon after that, -under 3 months. Then, it was nearly 5 & 6 months after drilling started.
The take away might be that there could be news almost monthly, and first results may not be far off.
