RE:RE:Value added

RE:RE:Value addedHaving spent a week in Ft McMurray a few years ago to see for myself the Syncrude site among others I would just like to clarify some obvious misconseptions regarding extracting 'oil' [actually bitumen] from the sandy soil in that area. Does the open pit mining of the oil from the sand cause a tremendous scar in the earth - it certainly does while they are operating in that particular area. However what the general public NEVER sees, or don't wish to recognize, is the complete reabilitation of the landscape that takes place once as the project moves along and the 'scar'  behind is filled in and replanted.
I would bet that anyone doing an honest evaluation of the area would be hard pressed or indeed totally unable to deciper after 7/10 years where the past extraction actually took place.
I am invested in Nemaska and believe that electricaly operated vehicles will be the go to transportation for personal use in the comming decades. However I honestly believe we are going to need petroleum to fuel our civilation for years to come as it has in the past hundreds of years. I have, and do, own oil companies that operated there and just believe we should be a liitle more honest regarding the fuel that made this country what it is today - one of the richest and best country's to live in the world.
