I did not buy at $1.80 but at about 50% of that price.

In all cases where share prices collapses, such as all gold companies and most silver companies and later the price rises up again we can all see what we should have done.  This is only with the benefit of hindsight.

With Yamana you should have averaged down when it dropped 90% and with IMG you should have averaged when it dropped 95%.   The challenge as always is that if you are prone to average down why would you not average down in IMG or YRI when they were down 40% or 50% or 70% or 80%.

The answer is crystal clear of course.  But only after the fact.
TECK went from $60 to $3.35 to $50.00 and back to $5 again and then up to $20 or so.

A fortune could have been made there with the right timing
Newstock I am glad that you got the timing right on this one.  I al also sure that, like me, your timing has not always worked out?
