They dont understand that so many long term retired investors depend on these Dividend big time like pension !!!
if on the next ER they announce to resume Dividend payout . stock price will be flying cause dividend suspension gives an indication of cash flow issue . They have to prove that they dont have insolvency .
Retirees have no business owning individual stocks, if they want dividend yield they should just own ETF's - either the overall market, or a dividend specific ETF like the dividend artistrocrats.
A retiree no longer has any work income earning years left to absorb individual stocks getting massacred .... just like CXR has.
Also no offense but anyone who buys into CXR for the dividend doesn't know what they're doing.
Was going to add, that if for some bizarre reason you absolutely had to own a health care stock for a dividend (why though????) there are so many more obvious picks - Johnson and Johnson, Glaxo, Pfizer, BMY, etc, etc, etc.
You know companies that have a history of raising their dividend and generating free cash flow.
