Any comments on old news?

Any comments on old news?I guess the most intriguing piece of fairly recent (July) news I've seen is below.  Maybe a major credibility statement not just for the individual but BBD considering who it was. For all who follow the board, any thoughts on why this would be said if not going to happen?
