RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:More evidence of Atlantic problems. Canada 3000 bought Royal Airlines in January 2001 for 84 million. In March of 2001 C3 bought 7.5 million of Canjet Stock. 

We we in the airline industry thought it was on its way to being a true alternative to AC ( they had just swallowed Canadian ) remember , west jet was still a tiny idea !!

Sept 10 , 2001 we actually had record bookings for the company. 

Sept 11, 2001 the terrorists stuck. North American airspace closed for a week. 

Bookings dropped of 60%. Never had a chance to recover. 

But we were making money to cover new assets. Fuel was reasonable. But creditors came knocking and it was decided to pull the plug. 

Shortly afterwards I joined Air Transat.
