I have noticed lately that..............BIR is trading wierdly. Generally, increases in the share price are met with immediate selling. My thoughts turned to the possibility that something is wrong with the stock. I checked everywhere I know and couldn't find anything that has fundamentally changed. Yet it is still underperforming.
Further investigation shows that Jones Trading out of Toronto keeps hitting the sell button. Enough to drop the price but not enough to kill it. That tells me it is not someone shorting. Jones Trading does specialize in liquidating large positions limiting the impact on the stock.
My conclusion is that nothing is wrong with the price. It will rise once they have eliminated whatever position they are eliminating.
