Nuveen California Municipal Value Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to seek current income exempt from both regular federal income taxes and California personal income tax. Its secondary investment objective is the enhancement of portfolio value. The Fund invests in municipal securities that are exempt from federal and California state income taxes. The Fund invests at least 80% of its managed assets in securities rated, at the time of investment, investment grade or, if they are unrated, are judged by the manager to be of comparable quality. The Fund may invest up to 20% of its managed assets in municipal securities rated below investment quality or judged by the manager to be of comparable quality, of which up to 10% of its managed assets may be rated below B-/B3 or of comparable quality. It also invests in inverse floating rate municipal securities. Its investment adviser is Nuveen Fund Advisors, LLC.

RE:RE:RE:RE:BMOI think we would all like to see him buy 5,000,000 shares out of the market and the stock to go up because of that one gesture but we didn't hire him to be a stock promoter. His job is to build a mine and the stock price will respond if he does that job properly. I do think that Panneton has credability so when something positive happens and he talks about it the market will respond. I suspect that the reason he isn't a director is that we have a limited number of positions and they are all taken. We will probably pass a resolution at the next AGM to increase the number of directors and he will be elected then.
In the interim we need some more decent holes, a financing at higher prices and news that we are drilling another 50 to 100 holes with some of those designed to test additional anomolies that have never been drilled.



truthtotell wrote: $500 million sounds reasonable to me however I would feel more confident if our new CEO owned more shares than me!  I bet he received a seven figure severance from Detour but only buys 5000 shares of NewCastle?  That is embarrassing and I think Wark will say something to him.  I wonder why he is not a director?
