Voya Asia Pacific High Dividend Equity Income Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is total return through a combination of current income, capital gains and capital appreciation. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in a portfolio of dividend yielding equity securities of Asia Pacific companies. The Fund will seek to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its managed assets in dividend producing equity securities of, or derivatives having economic characteristics similar to the equity securities of Asia Pacific Companies that are listed and traded principally on Asia Pacific exchanges. The Fund will invest in approximately 60-120 equity securities and will select securities through a bottom-up process that is based upon quantitative screening and fundamental analysis. Voya Investments, LLC is an investment adviser of the Fund.

peak I can see that vacuum on the drop in fall 2014, however, I believe there was a perfect storm for iae to fall thru the usual technical resistance on that drop, oil was diving from over 100 to the 40's, the saudis had stopped supporting oil with cuts, people were fleeing  energy funds and etf's in droves, on top of it iae was busy increasing debt, missing guidance and delaying stella. IMHO that drop was more fundamental than technical and flew thru resistance on the way down.

so to me looking at the charts and apllying fundamentals I only see it moving thru that "vacuum" if oil shoots to 100 ( good luck with that doug, lol) so I see previous resistance numbers coming into play especially in that 1.80- 2 buck range where it traded for about a year. just my take and the reason for it. i hope you guys are right and it blows thru, we shall see.
