Ascent Solar Technologies Inc ASTI

Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. is a solar technology company that manufactures and sells photovoltaic (PV) solar modules. Its technology provides renewable power solutions to production and specialty solar markets where traditional rigid solar panels are not suitable, including aerospace, agrivoltaics, and niche manufacturing/construction sectors. It designs and develops finished products to design and develop integrated solutions for products, such as satellites, spacecraft, airships, and fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It is also engaged in developing its zinc oxysulfide process. The Company manufactures its products by affixing a thin Copper-Indium-Gallium-diSelenide (CIGS) layer to a plastic substrate using a large format, roll-to-roll process that permits it to fabricate its PV modules in an integrated sequential operation. The Company uses monolithic integration techniques, which enable it to form complete PV modules with back-end assembly of inter-cell connections.

Victor Lee explained the low Q2 sales is due to problem in its distributors and retailers but I was skeptical about his explanation and wait to see if Q3 sales will be back well over $1.1 million as in Q3 of 2014 and 2015. The low $450K Q3 revenue confirms my fear that all is not well with the company, the huge operating cost still results in $11 million loss. Q4 sales for 2014 and 2015 were both at $2.4 million, even this Q4 sales will be also be at $2.4 million, the Q4 financial won't be released until next February, by then share price could has drifted down to 0.1 cent. There is no sign of investors accumulating shares, they must feel the same way. I decided to take a huge loss and recover it in other stocks. ASTI is not the only stock in the stock market. Crude oil price has hit strong support level and is still in a persistent up trend, RMP.V BRE.V both have sold off some of their non-core assets to clear some debts, so their balance sheet and earnings will look much better in the future, share price of these 2 companies has hit possible rock bottom. Their hit high of $10 in 2014 before oil price crashed from $80. Good luck to you all.

This is why NO manufacturing jobs can be created in North America..... Just way tooo expensive....
