HME News

HME NewsThere are few articles that shine a bright light on the future of HME businesses. Of course we know about the legislation, passed on Nov. 30, that would roll back a second round of Medicare reimbursement cuts. That roll back will give providers well needed cash in hand.

The new secretary of the Depart. of Health and Human Services, Tom Price, longtime champion of HME, will stick to the agenda that better support HME. He is an advocate of repealing and replacing the Afordable Care Act that would eliminate the roll out of bid prices to rural America. Regardless of the upcoming changes, as someone pointed out, 'DME is in good place because Tom Price understands the need  for in-the-home care'.

2017 can be a good year for PHM and its profitability.
