RE:Black Mamba

RE:Black Mamba

Oh my, EddySantana, you hit a nerve.

I, for a long time, have discredited the idea of this company being taken out by any hostile activies. At least for anything under $10 a share. Having said that, the one thing I have only recently considered and now somewhat fear is a direct attack from said Dr. Soon.

It's pretty easy to reach a 50%+ defence target against any such action, assuming Dr. Soon's shares are part of the equation.  What if he's orchestrating the event?  I've mentioned my fears only privately to this point, but boy, does it make sense. After he exercises his warrants, there's a boat load of shares out of the defence pool, if he so wishes to use them against the company.  And before anyone counters with the 'his shares are in a charitable trust' counter, I'd ask, just how charitable are they?

I bring this up, only because of the history involved.  Remember the now very dormant partnership between PLI, Blackrock and Dr. Soon (Nantpro/ Nantphrama/ Blackrock),  or some similar arrangement(sorry, I forget the exact corporate structure)?  Where has that golden arrangement lead?  Not very far.  For whatever reason - Dr. Soon's pre occupation with other interests or PLI's impatience at Dr. Soon's intransigence, PLI has moved forward on its own.  So much promise, so much future potential for the partnership, that for the most part has evaporated.  PLI is now carrrying the therapeutic protein flag, all on its own.  Do you not think there's some injured pride or feelings on the other's part?  If there's one person who could carry out successfully a revenge play, I would suggest Dr. Soon could be the one.  Why settle for part of the pie, when you could have it all? What are the chances of a $5.00 a share take out offer being accepted with Dr. Soon's shares part of the defence?  Not likely. Without?  Well, that's a much less certain outcome.

Let me say, this is only a fear I have, and I sure hope it does not turn out to be the case, but the scenario sure looks plausible. When a company has 1 billion dollars plus wiped off its market cap, there's no end of possible conspiracy theories which could nicely come into play.  An orchestrated attack could benifit more than just the shorters. Just saying, but with the amount of dollars at stake here, the potential for skulduggery increases exponentially.

Perhaps I'm reacting from seeing 7 figures wiped off my personal wealth, but it does have the effect of concentrating the mind. Kind of like the night before one's execution...........

Good luck,
Felco
