NSU Timok Porphyry copper grades...
I have recently spent some time reading up on the worlds porphyry copperdeposits in order to understand tham better. It turns out that out of 422 porphyry copper deposits in the world (got data from a 2008 report from the US Dept of the Interior Geological Survey) 50% of them have an average copper grade of only .44% per ton. What is even more incredible to me is that the top 10% of these 422 deposits have a copper grade of only .75% or more. I can now see why everyone is so excited about NSU's roughly 50% stake in lower Timok. These guys have realeased historic and pretty current holes that put them much closer (eventually maybe in) to the top 10% of porphyry deposits than the average .44% per ton grade. Some holes have shown over 1% copper over hundreds of meters. Off the charts now that I see what the typical porphyry deposit grades are. I hear thst NSU believes that the lower zone will easily be very economically viable and believe it will be even more valuable than the exremely high in copper and gold grade upper zone. Hope this info helps...
