RE:RE:RE:As I stated earlier today, pigs at the trough.WRT averaging down, that is growing more complicated for me every day.  I have been doing some short term (day) trading on margin.  My "realized gain/loss" is showing an ever increasing realized loss as I do something like buy HBC at 9.70 and sell at 9.95, which one would think is a 25 cent gain, but with an average price around 11 shows a dollar loss.  Yesterday I bought a bunch at 9.60 hoping it would recover to 9.70...the 10 cent decision was arbitrary and I kicked myself for not paying closer attention and sold at 9.68 (I thought it would be stuck at 9.63) and signed off for the day.

But these are day trades in an attempt to continually pull down the average price for my core holdings.  I take solace that when HBC goes to 12 my "realized gain" at that time will cover the "realized loss" I am seeing on paper for now.
