RE:Bad...bad...bad hbc...campeau corporation went bankrupt

RE:Bad...bad...bad hbc...campeau corporation went bankruptSorry, but I completely disagree. Campeau bought in during a time where it was simply absurd to be paying these high debt interest rates. HBC purchasing Macy's and then instantly creating a REIT spin off would make it a global retail powerhouse with stores (distribution centeres) in extremely close proximity to all of it's customers, all while leaving them with debt yes, but also a large amount of cash to sustain and further develop themselves. They're making an incredibly smart move here, combining online and retail. Baker is extremely ingenious - he's taking advantage of a struggling retailer to get a great deal on real estate. Real estate in PRIME locations, real estate that will not only supply foot traffic sales, but act as a warehouse to ship products to customers through. Amazon lacks one thing and that is bricks and mortar. They simply can't compete with shipping costs, without adding warehouses in closer proximity to their customer base. HBC does not have that issue. Give them some time, but I believe they completly understand the significance of online selling and this is just another step in the direction of becoming a global powerhouse both in store and online.
I hope to see an aquisition followed by a reit spinoff in the very near future.
HBC shares could see a blue sky breakout if they play this correctly.
All imho, GLTA!
