RE:RE:RE:lapresse app continues to impressI stand corrected as I had forgotten La Presse was in Montreal - I conflated being exclusively in French with being in Quebec City.  At Paul Godrey's age you tend to forget a lot of things...

Counting ads tells you nothing about revenues and if yesterday is the only day they have a print edition I challenge you try to figure out the revenue allocation between the print product and what goes on their tablet application. 

I don't think in this case Godfrey has it wrong.  People are using their phones to get news and have no appetite to watch ads on their phone.  Ad blocking technology is getting better each day and while Power Corp isn't in the charity business, they can afford to indulge themselves like the Thomson's in a vanity project or two.  Tablet sales are in steep decline and while print isn't the long term answer, they are grasping at straws with this initiative,  Hence the reason David Skok left the Star after only 3 months.
