RE:Interesting I had never read this article before about the involvement of Kyrio specifically in developing the CableLabs wifi hub.
cablelabs and kyrio I have usually thought that Kyrio was primarily a testing facility within Cablelabs. If this is the arm that is specifically building and integrating wireless technology for hi-density mobile and wi-fi uses how could they not use wifi3 technology after they themselves claimed that wifi3 crushed the competition.
This explains why Phil McKinney seems to be giddy in his discussions about Edgewater and Andrew. This also explains why our team has gone into death silence on almost every topic. Even upramp and cablelabs seem to be quiter in their reporting about Edgewater than they were initially. This may be because Edgewater is a public company and there are different rules in communicating. But, it also might mean that a deal is in the works.
This was the most important part of Andrew's experience at the Fiterator program:
For Edgewater Wireless, it was the extensive testing and validation by Kyrio, UpRamp's sister company under the CableLabs' umbrella. The third party valuation of their WiFi3 technology for high density WiFi networks is something they are leveraging in all aspects of their business, with customers, prospects, partners, investors and even their internal team.
