Many years ago the auto industry in general was in trouble, then a somewhat revolutionary product, which seems weird to put that title to the mini van, but it was at the time.  Everyone around the world wanted and bought larger and larger vehicles and for the auto makers it was an ideal situation because producing such vehicles in comparison, did not cost that much more to produce, but they could command a much greater price, thus more profits. 

I guess if if it costs relatively the same to find and pull out of the ground a 3C stone as it does a 1C stone, well it's not rocket science is it...the problem is and will always be, a 1C stone could be worth more than the 3C stone, as we all know why.  Thus, the complexity of the diamond business.
