Rumour says that one particular person in higher management is about to leave and from what I've learned that will make a huge different for the company because that person's micro management and inability to see the bigger picture and communicate a vision/goal for the division that this person is responsible for has, at least, destroyed the company culture, caused a lot of unnecessary costs, key people to leave the company and prevented that part of company from doing what they are best on and delivering in time. Finally Davey realized what mess that person has caused over the years, but I guess there will be a clean and nice exit for that person because that person has been with the company for a very long time and they don't want to lose their face in public. It is really embarrassing that Davey didn't realize this earlier but I guess the difference in time zones, language barrier and friendship made it easier for the cover up to continue and deny what was really going on.
